Agartala, Tripura, 17th of August, 2026 : Devotees offer prayers to Lord Shiva on the holy month of ‘Shravan or Sawan’ in Agartala on Monday (17th August, 2023).
Devotees across the region are observing the sacred month of Shravan (Sawan) with great faith and devotion. A large number of worshippers are visiting Shiva temples to offer prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Temples are witnessing special pujas, chanting of mantras, and offerings of flowers, fruits, milk and water to the deity.
A large number of devotees gathered at the Santan Sangha Kali Temple (Kali Mandir) to offer prayers and seek the blessings of the deity.

Hindu devotees keep whole day fasting and worship Lord Shiva on every Monday of Sawan month to seek his divine blessing. In Hindu religion, the whole month of Shravan is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
Shravan is considered one of the most auspicious months dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees observe various religious practices, including fasting and visiting temples, particularly on Mondays, which are regarded as especially sacred during this period. Many devotees also take part in special pujas and other spiritual activities.
