Agartala, 7th of February 2024 : Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Education & Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India virtually inaugurated newly constructed buildings of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Regional Centres at Agartala, Bangalore, Pune, Jammu, Portblair, Noida on Wednesday (7th February, 2024).
“Today inaugurated the new buildings of 6 regional study centres of Agartala, Port Blair, Bengaluru, Pune, Jammu and Noida, Vijayawada Regional Center and other projects through video conferencing. Best wishes to all on this occasion. For the past several decades, Indira Gandhi National Free University has played an important role in increasing the competency of the country. Considering the demand of time, Ignu is also creating new learning pathways for the new generation.
Increasing the competency of all the people, especially the new generation, will be the first condition to fulfill the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s developed India.Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is a digital university in itself. Making this more relevant in the coming times. The digital public infrastructure in India will get the biggest profit in the education sector. Many countries of Global South will adopt India’s DPI and free university platform. With Physical infrastructure for quality education, Ignu will also focus on rooted, futuristic and creating interesting content. I hope the Ignu family will strive to establish this free university as a modern, technology-driven and world’s leading distance learning university.” Union Minister of Education & Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan said in social media.
