Mumbai, Maharashtra, 1st of September, 2026 : In a significant move aimed at strengthening India’s defence manufacturing capabilities with advanced technology, RRP Defence Limited and ESC Baz, a global developer of electro-optical observation systems, have announced a strategic partnership. Under the partnership, ESC Baz’s advanced ‘Diamond–Unique Observation System’ will be introduced in the Indian market.
The AI-powered, next-generation surveillance system is designed to deliver clear imagery even in extremely low-light and dark conditions. It offers capabilities including 4240×2832 high-resolution imaging and an 80-degree field of view. Its AI-powered detection technology is designed to assist in identifying potential threats and intrusions. The system can be deployed across border areas, military installations, critical infrastructure and surveillance towers.
RRP Defence management said, “This is not merely about adding a new product to our portfolio. ‘Diamond’ gives us an opportunity to enter a highly specialised and advanced segment of defence and security. Our objective is to manufacture in India and take these capabilities to global markets.”
According to the company, the initiative is aimed not only at making the technology available in India but also at promoting local manufacturing, developing solutions tailored to Indian requirements and boosting exports to international markets under the ‘Make in India, Sell to the World’ vision.
Amid growing geopolitical tensions, the partnership is being viewed as a significant step towards strengthening India’s 24×7 surveillance and security capabilities.
