Dharmanagar, Tripura, 1st of August, 2026 : A district-level review meeting was held at the conference hall of the District Magistrate’s office in Dharmanagar to assess the progress of overall developmental activities in North Tripura district on Friday (31st July, 2026).
The meeting was chaired by the district’s Guardian Minister and Minister for Information & Cultural Affairs and Prisons, Santana Chakma.The meeting was attended by District Magistrate Chandni Chandran, MLAs Jahar Chakraborty, Islam Uddin, Philip Kumar Reang, and Shailendra Chandra Nath, Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Aparna Nath, representatives of various Block Advisory Committees, and senior district administration officials.

Detailed discussions were held on the implementation and progress of various government schemes and services, including rural infrastructure, drinking water supply, healthcare, education, agriculture, road connectivity, electricity, and social welfare programmes. Officials from different departments presented updates on ongoing projects and highlighted the challenges faced during implementation.
Addressing the meeting, Minister Santana Chakma directed officials to ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach the people promptly, transparently, and effectively. She also emphasized the timely completion of development projects, maintaining quality standards, and strengthening coordination among various government departments to achieve holistic development across the district.
