Agartala, Tripura, 23rd of August, 2026 : The District Magistrate & Collector of West Tripura Dr. Vishal Kumar, along with the SDM, Jirania visited Baldakhal, Kashipur and Chandrapur to assess the flood situation on Sunday (23rd August, 2026) morning. The visit followed incessant rainfall and flooding in the areas overnight.
Heavy rainfall overnight led to flooding in several parts of West Tripura. Officials visited the affected areas to review the situation.
According to sources the situation is presently under control, with response teams actively deployed. SDRF personnel with boats are providing assistance on the ground. Apadamitra volunteers are also supporting emergency response and relief operations.
The situation is being continuously monitored by the District Administration. Authorities are keeping a close watch on developments across the affected areas. Response teams and essential resources are kept ready to meet any urgent requirement. Necessary assistance will be provided promptly as needed.
