Agartala, Tripura, 1st December, 2024 : With the initiative of Tripura Human Rights Commission has been conducted Sit and Draw competition on the occasion of observance of International Human Rights Day at the Office Premises of Tripura Human Rights Commission, Kunjaban, Agartala on Sunday (1st December, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Justice Swapan Chandra Das, Hon’ble Chairperson of Tripura Human Rights Commission inaugurated the Drawing competition.
Addressing the Drawing competition Hon’ble Chairperson of Tripura Human Rights Commission Justice S.C. Das said, Drawing competition was held in two categories. 89 participants aged 8 to 12 years participated in Group-A and 41 participants aged 12 to 16 years participated in Group-B. The topics of the competition were the right to free primary education, the right of every human being to dignity of life, domestic violence against women, terrorism violating the rights of innocent people and air and water pollution violating the rights of the common man.
The winners of the competition will be awarded at the International Human Rights Day celebration on December 10, 2024 at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, in Agartala.
In today’s programme apart from Hon’ble Chairperson of Tripura Human Rights Commission Justice S.C. Das, Ratan Biswas, IAS, Secretary of Tripura Human Rights Commission, Udit Choudhuri, Retired District & Session Judge, Member of Tripura Human Rights Commission (THRC), Lalhim Molsom Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tripura Human Rights Commission (THRC), officials and many other dignitaries were remained present in the programme.
