Agartala, Tripura, 2nd of November 2025 : With the initiative of the Syandan Patrika and Syandan TV of Tripura organized Sharad Samman at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala, Tripura on Saturday (2nd November, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated Sharad Samman 2025 programme by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the Sharad Samman 2025 Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Maintaining peace and order in the state is one of the top priorities of the state government. Peace and harmony are essential for development. Therefore, the government is committed to keeping the atmosphere of peace intact in the state. Along with development, maintaining law and order is also one of the government’s key objectives.
The Chief Minister said that to achieve good results, it is important to maintain a disciplined environment and situation. People from the capital as well as from tribal areas have participated spontaneously in this year’s Durga Puja celebrations. The government is also giving special emphasis on promoting the culture of the tribal communities in the state.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Saha said that there has been a remarkable transformation in the club culture of the state in recent times. Now, clubs and social organizations have come forward to contribute to building a healthy and harmonious society. They are organizing various social programs.
Highlighting the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha remarked that “Ek Tripura – Shrestha Tripura”, clubs, social organizations, and the media are playing a significant role. People from all levels must come forward to contribute to this effort. Recalling the history of Syandan Patrika, the Chief Minister said that despite facing many problem, Syandan Patrika has today become a very well-known newspaper to all of us.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, along with other guests, presented the Sharad Samman awards to representatives of 28 clubs, social organizations, and community Puja committees that won in various themes of this year’s Durga Puja festival.

At the event, three individuals were felicitated — a woman achiever, a person who successfully overcame addiction to return to a normal life, and another who established themselves in society despite financial hardships. The Chief Minister presented them with a memento as a token of respect.

Eminent journalist Saraju Chakraborty delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of the event. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, former High Court Justice S. C. Das, eminent Journalist and Chief Editor of Syandan Patrika & Syandan TV Subal Kumar Dey, Managing Director Abhishek Dey, journalists and many other dignitaries were present at the event.
