Guwahati,Assam/New Delhi, Delhi, 4th of June, 2025 : The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Regional Office Guwahati, organized a special program today to distribute Permanent Disability Benefits to insured persons and Dependent Benefits to families of insured persons who passed away while in service. This initiative is part of ESIC’s ongoing efforts to provide timely social security support to the working population of the North Eastern Region.
The event was chaired by Shri Pranay Sinha, Insurance Commissioner, North East Region and attended by Shri Robert L. Guite, Regional Director; Shri Yogesh Prakash, Deputy Director; along with other senior officials from ESIC. Beneficiaries, employer representatives, and members of the media were also present.
Shri Pranay Sinha distributed benefit letters to eligible beneficiaries and addressed the media, emphasizing recent initiatives in the North East Region, such as the implementation of the ESI Scheme in Manipur and Nagaland, establishment of new DCBOs and camp offices across all states in the North East region and collaborations with state governments to expand healthcare delivery. He also outlined ESIC’s future roadmap to strengthen its reach and services for the betterment of workers and their families.
Beneficiaries shared heartfelt feedback, expressing gratitude to ESIC for providing timely financial and medical support during critical phases of their lives. Employer representatives, including those from CG Foods Limited, acknowledged the scheme’s support for their workforce, especially during health crises, and appreciated ESIC’s efforts in conducting awareness camps and health check-up drives at workplaces.
