Agartala, Tripura, 18th of November, 2025 : Faculties, staff and students of College of Fisheries, CAU (Imphal), Lembucherra, Tripura virtually attended the inaugural session of the CAU-Regional Agri Fair 2025 on November 17, 2025, organized by the Central Agricultural University, Imphal at College of Agriculture, Kyrdemkulai, Meghalaya. The three-day fair, scheduled from November 17–19, 2025, serves as a significant platform for showcasing agricultural innovations, technologies and best practices aimed at strengthening the agricultural landscape of the North Eastern region.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Chandrashekhar H. Vijayashankar, Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya, who attended the programme as the Chief Guest. The event was further honoured by Shri Timothy D. Shira, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Government of Meghalaya; Shri Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Hon’ble Member of Parliament and Shri Harish Chandra Chaudhary, Principal Secretary to the Governor of Meghalaya. Dr. Anupam Mishra, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, CAU (Imphal), warmly welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the importance of the Regional Agri Fair in promoting farmer–scientist interactions, enhancing market linkages and encouraging innovation-driven agricultural growth across the region.

The fair hosts a dynamic display of 74 exhibition stalls, featuring products, technologies and innovations from constituent colleges of CAU, Imphal, KVKs, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), progressive entrepreneurs, and emerging agri-startups representing various North Eastern states. These exhibits provide farmers and visitors with an opportunity to explore modern agricultural solutions, gain technical insights, and connect with institutions working toward agricultural advancement.
