Hyderabad, Telangana, 3rd of November, 2025 : Farhan Khalid Thakur from Mumbai put up a calculated display of strategy and precision to emerge victorious at the Red Bull Tetris® India National Final securing his place as India’s representative at the Red Bull Tetris World Final in Dubai (December 11 to 13, 2025).
The finals, which took place at Dreamhack Hyderabad over the last weekend, brought together the nation’s top four Tetris players: Farhan Khalid Thakur (Mumbai), Srikant Mahapatra (Mumbai), Yeesha Kalal (Bangalore), and Nipun Gupta (Chandigarh) — following a nationwide open qualifier where anyone could compete to set a high score.
The first semifinals saw Farhan face off against Yeesha, while Srikant advanced from the second semifinal against Nipun.
In a nail-biting grand final, Farhan delivered a dominating performance, stacking precision-perfect blocks and crossed 400,000 points to clinch the national title and his ticket to Dubai.
The Red Bull Tetris booth was one of the highlights of DreamHack Hyderabad, drawing crowds throughout the three-day festival from October 31 to November 2. Fans stepped into the world of Red Bull Gaming Grounds to play Tetris®, EA FC, and F1 simulators, experiencing the excitement of both classic and modern gaming.
Adding to the energy, Red Bull athlete Ankit “V3nom” Panth engaged fans in a high-octane EA FC showdown, while Art Guy Rob joined forces with GodLike Esports creators for a lively Skribbl battle as host Zerxes Wadia energized the crowd.
The stage also featured crowd-favourite show matches in Tetris, including Mizo vs Zgod and Jonathan Gaming vs Sharkshe, blending creator entertainment with esports spectacle and fan interaction. While Mizo was able to beat ZGod, Sharkshe emerged victorious in her showmatch against the crowd favorite, Jonathan.
Adding to the excitement, the Red Bull Tetris featured a meet-and-greet with popular GodLike Esports’ personalities, which includes Zgod, Bachu, Sharkshe, Mizo, Dobby, and Jonathan Gaming.
Farhan will now prepare to compete against the world’s best players at the Red Bull Tetris® World Final, where the ultimate match will be brought to life through 2,000 synchronized drones illuminating the Dubai skyline at the iconic Dubai Frame.
