Amarpur, 26th of July 2024 : Due to constant irrigation deprivation excited farmers of Ampi RD block have locked Ampi current office today. As per the report, the local farmers of Ampi block have been constantly deprived for irrigation amenity.
One farmer said, “During our farming period we are not having irrigation amenity and as a consequence we can not accomplish our cultivation on time. The MI operators can not give us water as there is no current. In such circumstance we are facing great problem in cultivation. The current authority does not take appropriate initiative to provide regular electric service to our MI projects. So, to create awareness over their negligence we have locked the current office today.”
After being informed Ampi block BDO Ruatfela Darlong as well as BAC chairman Sindhu Chandra Jamatia came to the spot and interacted with the excited cultivators and assured them that in shortly the problem will be solved. Then the angry farmers opened the lock of the office.
