Gomati, Tripura, 27th of October 2025 : Tripura Journalists Union Gomati district committee and Udaipur Sub-division committee have jointly organized the Journalist Sarad Gaurav Honour 2025 here in Udaipur Rajarshi Kalakhetra with great enthusiasm and dignity. On this auspicious occasion a large number of administrative dignitaries and journalists of the state have assembled here in the programme venue.
In presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy has inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The event has felicitated 37 Durga Puja organizer committees of Gomati district for their better achievement in Puja management and motivational contribution of social service. Under the able guidance & supervision of TJU Gomati district working committee secretary Ratan Dey the felicitation programme was constituted with various colourful segments.
Addressing the gathering Sri Pranajit Singh Roy has said, “This year Sarad Utsav was completed in a peaceful and orderly environment in Gomati district and the entire state. I congratulate to all concerned authorities for their appreciable achievement of this festival which was accomplished in a healthy and beautiful environment maintaining proper communal harmony and fraternity.”
The minister has welcomed the initiative of the Gomati district committee of the Tripura Journalists Union for conducting inspiring Sarad felicitation programme 2025. He more added that this kind of programme will continue in the future as well. The chief guest of the programme Udaipur Municipal Council Chairman Sheetal Chandra Majumdar said in his short speech that all Puja committees in Udaipur Municipal Council area have concluded their celebrations in proper way this year and there is no any unexpected incident in the entire area. People have enjoyed the fest with joyous mode in peaceful environment. In this regard, the temple city of Udaipur has earned a lot of fame. He congratulated all the Puja committees in the programme. Social worker Sabita Nag said that the country is moving forward in the same way as the country is responding to the call of the Prime Minister to build a fair Tripura, a better Tripura. The entire state, including Gomati district, is maintaining a fair environment to promote development for the citizens of the state.
Amidst the other participants there were MLA Abhishek Deb Roy, State Committee Executive Secretary Santosh Gop, TJU district committee working president Tapas Majumdar, district magistrate Rinku Lather and many others remained present in this motivational event.
The Sarad honour was awarded to the three best organizing committees in religious institutions, namely, Sri Sri Ramakrishna Ashram of Udaipur, Shitalabari Unnayan Committee of Udaipur and Sri Sri Ram Krishna Path Chakra of Amarpur. The three women-led Puja committees, Brahmin Para Mahila Sarvajanin Durga Puja Committee of Matabari, Mahila Mangal Puja Committee of Udaipur Chhanban and Shakuntala Palli Mahila Puja Committee of Gokulpur, were awarded Sarad award. After availing prestigeous trophies all winner Puja committees were found cheerful and expressed their gratitude to the TJU for their excellent initiative.
