Finance Minister Of Tripura Pranajit Singha Roy Inaugurates Two-Day Unity Promo Fest 2025 In Udaipur.

Udaipur, Tripura, 20th of November 2025 : With the initiative of Tourism Department Government of Tripura organized Unity Promo Fest – 2025 at Sports Ground, Udaipur under Gomati District on Wednesday (19h November, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Finance, Planning & Coordination, Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy inaugurated the two-day Unity Promo Fest – 2025 by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of Unity Promo Fest – 2025 Hon’ble Finance, Planning & Coordination, Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said that Tripura is a land of multi-ethnic and multi-cultural harmony. The Unity Promo Fest is being organized to showcase the State’s Culture, heritage, and traditions on a wider platform. This initiative will play an important role in presenting Tripura’s tourism potential to tourists from across the country and abroad.

Highlighting on the event, the Finance Minister remarked that that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given special importance to the expansion of tourist destinations in the Northeast. Through exhibitions in various States, the tourism diversity of the Northeast is being showcased, which has led to a significant rise in tourist inflow. He also stated that the state government is also undertaking various new initiatives throughout the year for the development of the tourism industry. Highlighting the state’s developmental activities, the Finance Minister wished success for the Unity Promo Fest.

The chief guest of the event, Hon’ble Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, said that the Unity Promo Fest has been launched to promote the blended culture of all communities and to advance the State’s tourism industry. Referring to the success of organizing this festival in four districts last year, he stated that this year South Tripura and Gomati districts have been added, making it a two-day event held across a total of six districts. He also added that the festival not only promotes culture but also creates new employment opportunities centered around tourism. Efforts are underway to present the state’s tourist destinations on the global stage.

Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were MLA Ram Pada, Chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council Sheetal Chandra Majumder, Vice Chairman of Udaipur Municipal Council Pradip Debnath, Sabhadhipati of the Gomati Zilla Parishad Debal Debroy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, District Magistrate of Gomati district Rinku Lather, Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar K, Director of Tourism Prashant Badal Negi and many other dignitaries were present at the event.
