Udaipur, Tripura, 18th of July 2025 : With the initiative of Animal Resources Development Department Government of Tripura inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed District Veterinary Hospital at Brahmabari, Udaipur, Gomati, Tripura on Friday (18th July, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Finance, Planning & Coordination, Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy has inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
Addressing at the inauguration of the newly constructed District Veterinary Hospital Hon’ble Finance, Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said that the benefits of various schemes of the Central Government and the State Government are being delivered to the actual beneficiaries. As a result, the income of animal husbandry, fishermen and farmers has increased. The rural economy of the state is gradually becoming stronger. He said that work is underway to bring all the eligible families of the State under the Government schemes, starting from the last individual. Financial benefits of various Government schemes are being given directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. This has reduced the harassment of the people. Transparency has come in government work. He urged everyone to take advantage of various schemes.
Addressing at the event Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das said that the newly constructed District Veterinary Hospital will make it easier to provide improved medical services to the animal husbandry. He said that vaccination programs and treatment are provided to increase the immunity of animals. These services are provided free of cost at various sub-centers, dispensaries and district hospitals. Besides, there is also a mobile van service. Emergency services are currently being provided through 13 ambulances in the State. Various projects are being implemented to increase the production of fish, meat, milk and eggs in the State. The department has also taken initiatives to provide financial assistance to the livestock farmers affected by accidents.
Secretary of Animal Resources Development Department Deepa D. Nair delivered a welcome address at the event. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were MLA Ram Pada Jamatia, Vice Chairman of Udaipur Municipal Council Pradip Debnath, Sabhadhipati of the Gomati Zilla Parishad Debal Debroy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, District Magistrate of Gomati district Rinku Lather and many other dignitaries were present at the event.
