Khowai, Tripura, 2nd of October 2024 : Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2nd October every year to mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Khowai district Observed Gandhi Jayanti with great zeal, focusing on cleanliness drives and cultural programs to honor the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
Bharatiya Janata Party activists paid floral tributes Swami Vivekananda and Netaji at Subhash Park under Khowai Assembly. District Committee General Secretary Samir Kumar Das, Mandal President Subrata Majumdar, District President Aparna Singh Roy Chairman of Khowai Municipal Council Debasish Nath Sharma, Animesh Nag, Pranab Biswas, Shanku Pal and other leaders were present. Besides, district general secretary Samir Kumar Das, Animesh Nag, Parimal Debnath and other leaders also participated in the cleanliness campaign at Kali Temple, Asharam Bari Assembly.
