Amarpur, Tripura, 29th of August 2026 : With the initiative of Government Degree College girl hostel authority of Khumulwng the Rakshabandhan festival 2026 was observed with due respect and dignity on Friday (28th August, 2026). The concerned college professors and students have celebrated the festival with the police personnel of Radhapur police station in their PS premises with joyous mood. The college professors and students have tied Rakhi to officials’ wrist and shared the happiness of the festival with the present police personnel participants. The students have expressed their gratitude towards the police officials for their immense courage, sacrifice and unwavering service to Society
and nation. The event has transformed the traditional festival into a profound gesture of respect, trust, gratitude and solidarity. The occasion has highlight large social significance of the festival that has extended beyond the bond of siblings to the universal value of protection, responsibility, compassion and humanity. Addressing the event participants, Prof. Dr. Maharani Rangkhwal, head of the department and assistant professor, department of Hindi said, “Rakshabandhan is not merely a festival but a powerful remainder of our collective responsibility towards one another. The secret thread of Rakhi symbolises a commitment to protect dignity, uphold trust and stand beside others during time of adversity.”
Appreciating the police personnel she more said that the contribution of cops over courage, discipline, vigilance, sacrifice and unwavering responsibility in police service make them greater. Citizens are capable to pursue education, work, live with confidence and safety because dedicated police personnel remain vigilant to protect the nation. So, Rakshabandhan is not a ceremonial tradition but it is a symbolic salute the spirit of service and sacrifice embodied by the police force. To motivate participants the event was concluded with a message of fraternity, humanity, solidarity, social harmony and respect for those who serve and protect the nation. Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were officer in-charge Krishna Sadhan Jamatia, sub inspector Dilu Jamatia and many others remained present in this motivational programme.
