Agartala, Tripura, 31st of July 2025 : With the initiative of National Health Mission Government of Tripura organized Jan-Jan Ka Rakhe Dhyaan TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Agartala, Tripura on Thursday (31st July, 2025). Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indra Sena Reddy Nallu Inaugurated Jan-Jan Ka Rakhe Dhyaan TB – Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and also launched the Raj Bhavan Portal and E-Books today.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony has urged public representatives and ordinary citizens to personally come forward to make Tripura a tuberculosis-free State. The Governor has also urged the youth to join TB-free clubs in various colleges to create awareness about tuberculosis. The Governor said that the health activists of the State have achieved special success in the fight against tuberculosis. Modern diagnostic centers have been set up in every district of the State. Moreover, the State Government has taken various initiatives to make Tripura TB-free. These include TB-free Panchayats, special prize competitions, sputum testing through AI, special testing arrangements in tea gardens and rubber plantation areas, etc.

Dr. Nupur Debbarma, State TB Officer delivered the welcome address at the inaugural session of Jan-Jan Ka Rakhe Dhyaan TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan today. Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Sabhadhipati of the West Tripura Zilla Parishad Bishwajit Shil, Sabhadhipati of the Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Supriya Das Dutta, Sabhadhipati of the North Tripura Zilla Parishad Aparna Nath, Unakoti Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Amlendu Das, chairmen of various Panchayat Samiti, Secretary to the Governor Uttam Kumar Chakma, Mission Director for the National Health Mission (NHM) Saju Vaheed, and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
