Agartala, Tripura, 14th of September, 2025 : Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu graced the closing ceremony of Kumarghat Football Tournament at Kumarghat PWD ground on Sunday (14th September, 2025).
Addressing at closing ceremony of Kumarghat Football Tournament Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu said that the Central Government is working to revive various sports in country and encourage the youth to take up sports through the Khelo India programme. This effort to revive rural sports has already yielded success. He said that football is very popular in India, especially in the north-eastern states. He said that team sports reflect team spirit and unity among the players and the people.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were MLA Bhagaban Das, Unakoti Zilla Saha-Sabhadipati Amalendu Das, Unakoti District Magistrate & Collector Dr. Tamal Majumdar, Superintendent of police, Unakoti Sudhambika R, and may other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
