Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu Inaugurate Unity Promo Fest 2025.

Belonia, Tripura, 15th of November, 2025 : With the initiative of Tourism Department Government of Tripura organized Unity Promo Fest – 2025 at Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar College Ground, Belonia on Saturday (15th November, 2025). In the In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the Unity Promo Fest – 2025 by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of Unity Promo Fest – 2025 Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu said that Tripura is a people of both tribal and non-tribal communities. Along with the promotion of their own culture and traditions, the Unity Promo Fest is playing an important role in the development of the tourism industry. Through such events, the state’s tourist destinations will gain greater publicity and reach.

Highlighting on the event, the Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given special importance to the promotion and expansion of tourist destinations in the northeastern states. The tourism potential of the northeastern region is being showcased in various states of the country through exhibitions. As a result, the number of tourists visiting the northeastern states is steadily increasing. He added that the Tourism Department of Tripura is also undertaking various new initiatives throughout the year to attract tourists from India and abroad. The Governor wished the Unity Promo Fest great success.

Addressing at the event Hon’ble Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that the Unity Promo Fest has been launched to promote the blended culture of tribal and non-tribal communities and to boost the state’s tourism industry. Due to the tremendous enthusiasm and response received during last year’s Promo Fest held in four districts, this year the event is being organized as a two-day Unity Promo Fest in a total of six districts, with South Tripura and Gomati districts added to the list.

“The Promo Fest is being organized with the aim of showcasing the state’s culture and heritage to the country and abroad, as well as creating livelihood opportunities through the tourism industry in Tripura. Events like this will promote and expand the state’s tourist destinations while generating employment and income opportunities.” Tourism minister also added.

Today’s Unity Promo Fest featured an enchanting cultural programme performed by artists from South Tripura district. The event also included a laser show, a tribal fashion show, and more.

Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were South Tripura District Magistrate Muhammad Sajad P, MLAs Swapna Majumdar, Pramod Reang, South Tripura Zilla Saha-Sabhadipati Dipak Datta, Superintendent of Police Maurya Krishna C and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
