Governor Of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu Inaugurates Sepahijala District Level 12th International Yoga Day Celebration.

Agartala, Tripura, 21st of June 2026 : With the initiative of the Sepahijala District organized Sepahijala District Level 12th International Yoga Day programme at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Higher Secondary School, Sepahijala, Tripura on Sunday (21st June, 2026).

In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the Sepahijala District Level 12th International Yoga Day event.

Addressing at the 12th International Yoga Day Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu said that a physically and mentally healthy population is essential for building a strong and prosperous nation, and yoga serves as a powerful tool for achieving overall well-being.

The Governor was speaking after inaugurating the Sepahijala district-level celebration of the International Day of Yoga at Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Higher Secondary School today. The programme was jointly organized by the Sepahijala District Administration and the District Youth Affairs and Sports Office. Highlighting the global recognition of yoga, the Governor said that the International Day of Yoga became a reality due to the visionary leadership and persistent efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose initiative inspired the United Nations to adopt and recognize the observance worldwide.

The Governor also added  that the objective of Yoga Day extends beyond promoting yoga exercises. It also seeks to encourage a disciplined lifestyle and showcase India’s rich ancient heritage to the world. The Governor added that the observance aims to foster a society free from stress and negativity. Speaking on the practical benefits of yoga, he said that regular practice helps students improve concentration, focus, discipline, posture, and physical fitness, while also helping working professionals maintain good health and mental balance.

Amidst the others distinguished dignitaries there were Supriya Das Datta, Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal. Additional District Magistrate Subhash Datta, the in-charge Superintendent of Police of Sepahijala district, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Bishalgarh, students from different schools, and paramilitary personnel were also present at the event.
