Agartala, Tripura, 22nd of August, 2026 : Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu first visited Don Bosco School and then Vani Vidyapeeth Girls Higher Secondary School at Ramnagar, Agartala, Tripura on Saturday (22nd August, 2026). In both the schools he interacted with the Scouts and Guides volunteers and students.
At the Don Bosco School Governor said, the young generation plays a crucial role in building a responsible, harmonious and progressive society. The Scouts and Guides in Tripura have made their own contribution to the progress of the state. They are taking active part in the mission for making Tripura drug-free. The Governor during interaction with them, listened to their experiences.

When the Governor arrived at Don Bosco School, the Scouts and Guides welcomed him with a guard of honour. Afterwards the interaction session at the school auditorium followed. At the Don Bosco programme, principal of the school Father Surajit Tigya delivered the welcome address. Among others present included the director of youth affairs and sports department L. Darlong, state secretary of Tripura Scouts and Guide Rev. Ramendra Reang, and Scouts Master and teacher of Don Bosco School Abhijit Chakraborty.

After that the Governor visited Vani Vidyapeeth Girls Higher Secondary School and interacted with the Scouts and Guides, volunteers and students. He visited the NSS unit of the school and planted a sapling at the school compound. During the interaction with the students the Governor called upon all to uphold the values like discipline, leadership, collective efforts, service and accountability. He said, the building of Viksit Bharat depends on the future generation. Students also have to join hands in this mission.

The progamme at Vani Vidyapeeth School was also attended by the youth affairs and sports director L. Darlong, secondary education director Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury, state secretary of Tripura Scouts and Guides Rev. Ramendra Reang, and headmistress of Vani Vidyapeeth School Dipti Debbarma.
