Agartala, Tripura, 29th of June 2026 : Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited the Eklavya Model Residential School in Khumulwng on Sunday (28th June, 2026) morning. During his visit, he inspected various facilities, including classrooms, the library, and the hostel, and reviewed different aspects of the school’s functioning.

At the school, the Governor joined students and other attendees in listening to the 135th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat. Following the broadcast, he interacted with the students, discussing the key messages from the Prime Minister’s address and encouraging them to reflect on its significance. He also highlighted the importance of the issues and values emphasized in the programme.
Later, the Governor visited the Rashni Mahila Cluster Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited in Mohanpur. During the visit, he interacted with members of various Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and took stock of their activities. The President of the Rashni Cluster Level Federation briefed the Governor in detail about the federation’s functioning and its initiatives. As part of the visit, the Governor also planted a sapling in the premises of the Rashni CLF campus.

The Governor also visited the bamboo processing unit operated by the Deepabali Self-Help Group (SHG). Impressed by the initiative, he commended the members of the SHG for creating sustainable livelihood opportunities by effectively utilizing locally available bamboo and other raw materials. He appreciated their efforts in promoting rural entrepreneurship and generating employment through value-added processing.
Amidst the others distinguished dignitaries there were West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, West Tripura Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), along with other senior officials.

The Governor also called on Shobha Debbarma at her residence in Keparam Para, East Noagaon Gram Panchayat, under Old Agartala Block, where he enquired about the development of her duck farm.

The Governor had earlier handed over ducklings to Shobha Debbarma during a programme held at Raj Bhavan (Lok Bhavan) as part of a livelihood support initiative. During the visit, he reviewed the progress of the project and encouraged her to continue her efforts.
