Govt To Develop 13,000 Small Enterprises With Rs 38 Crore Allocation: Chief Minister Of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha.

Agartala, Tripura, 18th of May, 2026 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today said that more than 13,000 small enterprises will be developed under entrepreneurship in different blocks of the state, and for that, Rs 38 crore will be allocated.

He said that the social system in the state is being strengthened through women’s empowerment.

“This is a big change in society. Women are the most tolerant. Society is benefiting from their various initiatives. As women are now self-reliant, the state’s economic base is also being strengthened,” he said.

Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this at the Samriddhi 2.0 program at Rabindra Bhavan today (18th May, 2026).

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid special emphasis on women’s empowerment to strengthen the country.

“Due to various initiatives taken for the self-empowerment of women, rural women in the country are becoming self-reliant today. The Grameen Jivika Mission has played a major role in making rural women self-reliant. The success of Samriddhi 1.0 in the state came as a result of collective effort,” said Dr. Saha.

Dr. Saha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi always says that women have the confidence and strong will to achieve success. In the future, greater self-empowerment of women will help in building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

“The state government is also implementing various programs to build a better Tripura through women’s empowerment. The Samriddhi 2.0 campaign has been launched after the huge success of the Samriddhi 1.0 campaign in the state. Under the Samriddhi 2.0 campaign, a target of providing loans worth Rs. 150 crore to women self-help groups and the private sector in the state was set. In that case, in the 2.0 campaign, more than Rs. 269 crore has been disbursed to self-help groups, surpassing the target, and Rs. 20 crore 58 lakh has been disbursed to the private sector. This success in the state has come as a result of collective efforts,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that in the past, there were 5,000 women self-help groups in the state; today, more than 55,000 women self-help groups have been formed in the state.

 “Currently, about 5 lakh rural women are becoming self-reliant by joining self-help groups. So far, bank loans worth Rs. 2,389 crore have been disbursed to women self-help groups. The government has provided assistance of Rs. 837 crore through the formation of various funds to further strengthen the self-help groups. Rural livelihoods have been developed into a strong foundation in the state through Bank Sakhis, Insurance Sakhis, Pashu Sakhis, and Krishi Sakhis. More than 13,000 small enterprises will be developed under entrepreneurship in different blocks of the state. Rs. 38 crore will be allocated for this,” he said.

Secretary of the Rural Development Department Abhishek Singh, Acting Sabhadhipati Bishwajit Shil, Secretary of the Finance Department P. K. Goel, and Chief Executive Officer of TRLM Tarit Kanti Chakma were present at the event.

Lakhpati Didi s from different parts of the state presented their success stories to the Chief Minister at the event. Besides, the Chief Minister inaugurated various rural livelihood-based projects worth a total of Rs. 24.37 crore by pressing the button.
