Agartala, Tripura, 12th of August, 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura organized Har Ghar Tiranga Rally in collaboration with Information & Cultural Affairs Department at Agartala, Tripura on Tuesday (12th August, 2025).
Addressing at the event Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that to strengthen the spirit of patriotism, initiatives have been taken to celebrate the Har Ghar Tiranga program in the state as well as the entire country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Har Ghar Tiranga program in 2022 as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The main objective of this program is to create a connection of respect with the National Flag. To pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for patriotism and freedom of the country.
Highlighting the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha remarked that the national flag is the pride of the countrymen. It is an indicator of our patriotism and a sense of national consciousness. It is the duty of every citizen to keep the dignity of the national flag intact. As per the instructions of the Central Government, the Har Ghar Tiranga program is being observed across the country in three phases from August 2 to August 15.
“In the first phase, various programs have been implemented with the participation of school students. These include school wall painting and school decoration, Tricolor Rakhi making competition, Tricolor Rally, exhibition stall, quiz competition, blood donation camp, sitting drawing competition, health camp, various sports competitions, etc. In the second phase, the Tricolor Fair and Tricolor concert are being held as part of the Tricolor festival from August 9 to August 12. In the third phase, the Har Ghar Tricolor program will be celebrated by hoisting the national flag throughout the State through various programs from August 13 to August 15.”, Chief Minister added.
The Chief Minister called upon every citizen living in every District, Subdivision, Municipal Corporation and all areas of the state to make the Har Ghar Tiranga program a success. The rally start from front of Ujjayanta Palace, Agartala and passes through various routes of Agartala city and end at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan premises.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Manika Das Datta, Secretary of Information & Cultural Affairs Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Tripura State Cultural Advisory Committee Vice Chairman Subrata Chakraborty, West Tripura Zilla Saha-Sabhadipati Biswajit Shil, students, NGOs, NCC cadets and many other distinguished dignitaries participated in the rally.
