Hon’ble Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on today (15th September, 2021) paid homage and unveiled the statue of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya on the occasion of 54th Engineer’s Day 2021.
Engineer’s Day would be celebrated today on September 15, across the country to mark the birthday of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. His contributions to the field of engineering and education are significant. Since 1968, India has celebrated Engineers day on this day every year. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, the man with high principles, played a crucial role in constructing dams, reservoirs and hydro-power projects in India. His high architect projects include the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam in Karnataka and the flood protection system of Hyderabad.
