Gomati, 14th of January 2024 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Tirthamukh Mela at Tirthamukh Mela Ground under Gomati District on Sunday (14th January, 2024). “Tirthamukh Mela highlights the rich cultural heritage and tradition of our State. Tirthmukh Paush Sankranti Mela stands on the trust of people. A fair means a gathering of people. This fair has strengthened our unity and solidarity.”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the inaugural ceremony of Tirthamukh Mela. The Chief Minister said Theerthmukh is a holy place. People have been bathing here since ancient times. When people’s faith comes here, virtue is obtained. The Chief Minister also added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the State Government is working for the social and financial development of the people. The present Government is a government to solve people’s problems. The State Government is working to provide modern services including roads, mobile towers, tourist accommodation in the Thirthmukh area. A large number of people from different places of the State have assembled here in the fair venue with enthusiasm.
Tarit Kanti Chakma D.M. & Collector of Gomati district delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Hon’ble Tribal Welfare, Handloom, Handicrafts & Sericulture, Statistics Minister Bikash Debbarma, Lalhming Thanga Darlong, Secretary of Tribal Welfare Department, S. Prabhu Director of Tribal Welfare Department, MLA Sanjay Manik Tripura, MLA Pramod Reang, MLA Nandita Debbarma Reang, Rajesh Tripura Executive member of TTAADC, Bhumikananda Reang MDC of TTAADC and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
