Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurates of newly constructed 33 KV Sub-Station at Simna on Thursday 29th July, 2021.

The project comes under the scheme of NER Power System Improvement Project (NERPSIP) funded by the Government of India and the World Bank.
This 33/11 KV, 2 x 5 MVA sub-station at Simna has been constructed to provide a steady and quality power supply in Simna and its adjoining areas. The newly constructed 33 KV sub-station has been connected with the existing 33 KV Hezamara sub-station by the new 33 KV line. This new sub-station will adequately meet up with the present and corresponding future load growth of the area and will benefit around 3,855 consumers with improved voltage profile and enhanced power system reliability in the area Simna, Brahma Kunda, Panchabati, Katlamara, Sidai and Daigyabari etc.
