Hon’ble Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu Inaugurates Buddha Purnima Celebration.

Agartala, 23rd of May, 2024 : Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated 2568th sacred Buddha Purnima at Venuvan Buddha Vihara, Agartala on Thursday (23rd May, 2024). The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu and other dignitaries. The Governor paid respects to the idol of Lord Buddha and participated in prayers.

Secretary of Venuvan Buddha Vihara Dibyendu Chakma delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. The general secretary of Buddhist, Thai Bharat Society of Buddhagaya Dr. Ratneswar Vante was present as a guest. Tripura University Vice-Chancellor Prof Ganga Prasad Prasain, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar and many others remained present in the programme. On the occasion, the Governor awarded the winners of the drawing competition organized on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. Ven Khemachara Bhikkhu has concluded the ceremony with vote of thanks.​ ​ ​
