Agartala, 19th of June, 2024 : Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder on Wednesday (19th June, 2024) took oath as the Member of Tripura Legislative Assembly at the lobby of the Legislative Assembly, Agartala. Hon’ble Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Biswa Bandhu Sen administered the oath of office to the Mayor of AMC Dipak Majumder oath as the Member of Tripura Legislative Assembly.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ramnagar-7 Assembly Constituency candidate Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder by defeating Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A.) bloc-backed Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI(M) candidate Ratan Das by 18014 votes in the Ramnagar-7 Assembly Constituency By-Election. By-elections to Ramnagar-7 Assembly Constituency was held on 19th April, 2024. Votes were counted on 4th June, 2024 (Tuesday).
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ram Prasad Pal, Hon’ble Finance, Planning & Coordination, Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Hon’ble Power, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury , Hon’ble Chief Whip of Tripura Legislative Assembly and MLA Kalyani Roy, other cabinet ministers of the State, MLAs and other officials were present taking oath ceremony.
