Agartala, 26th of November 2023 : With the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Government of Tripura, Mohanpur Administration and Brahmakunda Fair Committee organized Brahmakunda Fair on the occasion of Rash Purnima at Simna on Sunday (26th November, 2023). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble MP and Union Minister of State, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India Pratima Bhoumik inaugurated the Brahmakunda Fair by lighting the lamp.

Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble MP and Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Pratima Bhoumik said, it is a century old fair. Our art and culture is developing through this fair. The traditional culture of the nation is also evolving. The Union Minister also added that the Central and State Governments are working to develop the infrastructure of religious tourism centers. She said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the nation-wide Bharat Sankalp Yatra. Bharat Sankalp Yatra has also been developed in the state. This initiative has been taken to bring the opportunity of Government projects and services to the people. She expressed hope that the people of Brahmakunda area would benefit from the development of Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
MLA Brishaketu Debbarma, MDC of TTAADC Rabindra Debbarma, Chairman of Hezamara BAC Sunil Debbarma, Anupam Chakraborty, Joint Director of Information and Culture Department, Social Activists Jugendra Debbarma and Binodh Debbarma and many other dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony. After the inauguration ceremony, the guests visited the Brahmakunda fair and exhibition stalls.
