Hon’ble Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated an exhibition on “Historical & Cultural Heritage of Tripura” at Maharaja Bir Bikram College in Agartala on Tuesday (29th November, 2022). “Development of Tripura is now being observed in various fields. Education is one of them. Education is the only medium through which change and development can take place” Hon’ble Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar said at seminar on ‘New Horizon of Educational Development in Tripura’ at Maharaja Bir Bikram College.

On the occasion, Hon’ble Vice President also said Tripura and other North Eastern states are the pillars of India’s Act East Policy. The Vice President also appealed to the students and youths to devote themselves to the welfare of the country and contribute to the rise of Bharat.

On the occasion, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha welcomed the Vice President on behalf of the people of the state. The Chief Minister said, without education no one can move ahead Tripura is progressing not only in the field of education but also in all fields. The Chief Minister highlighted various information about the development work in the State and said that the Central and State Governments are jointly implementing various projects for the development of Tripura.

Hon’ble Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath highlighted the improvement of the education system in the state during the present State Government. He said that development work is going on in the state to form “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat”. CBSE curriculum was introduced in the State after the establishment of the present Government. The Education Minister also mentioned the introduction of Vocational Training, Smart Class, Digital Library, Vande Tripura, New Direction, Computer Education to improve education.

Students from different college, Teachers, officials and many others remained present in the programme. Dr. Nirmal Bhadra the principal of MBB College thanked everyone in the discussion.
