Teliamura, 24th of May, 2024 : The husband and mother-in-law of the injured housewife were arrested in connection with the injury of the housewife in the fire. 21st of this month, the body of a housewife named Suparna Sarkar (25) of Kalitila (Banar Chowmuhani) area under Teliamura police station was set on fire. She was seriously injured in this fire incident and is currently under treatment at Agartala GB Hospital with serious injuries.
The housewife’s biological mother filed a written complaint against the housewife’s husband i.e. Prabal Sarkar, a teacher by profession, and the housewife’s mother-in-law Kalyani Sarkar at Teliamura police station. After receiving the complaint, the police arrested the teacher husband Prabal Sarkar and mother-in-law Kalyani Sarkar and brought them to Teliamura police station. Rajib Debnath, OC of Teliamura police station said that they were sent to court. This incident spread excitement throughout the entire area.
