Agartala, Tripura, 27th of November, 2025 : Shri Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, IG BSF Tripura Frontier visited Central University of Tripura to deliver a talk on “ Awareness Development about BSF and Career Counselling for joining Uniformed Services” to the students of the university as part of the series of events planned by Tripura Frontier BSF on the occasion of Diamond Jubilee BSF Rasing Day celebrations.
On arrival, he was received and felicitated by Prof Shyamal Das, Vice Chancellor and Dr Deepak Sharma, Registrar, Central University of Tripura.
IG BSF, Tripura Frontier further addressed the members of the faculty and students (approx.- 700) in Bir Bikram Central Auditorium of the University on the genesis and origin of Border Security Force, its evolution through ages, its contributions to national security and development of Border belt, the role it played in 1971 Indo – Pak War ( better known as Liberation War of Bangladesh), Kargil conflict, Ops Sindoor, Counter Insurgency /Anti Militancy/ Anti Naxal theatres and various special assignments during major events like Shri Amarnath Ji yatra, Kumbh Mela, Disaster Relief and Mitigation operations etc. He also elaborated about the benefits and charms of the service in Uniform, levels and modes of entry into various forces and BSF in particular, application process, testing agencies and methodology, how to prepare for the entrance tests and the aspects of training in forces.
The talk was followed by an interactive session during which the students clarified their doubts.
The session was highly motivating and appreciated by the students of various streams and the faculty of the University.
