IIM Nagpur’s Cybersecurity Resilience Conference On How To Counter Cyber Threats & Disruptions.

Nagpur, 25th of February, 2025 : IIM Nagpur today conducted an International Conference themed “Cybersecurity Resilience: Safeguarding Businesses and Governments from Cyberthreats and Disruptions.” A first of its kind, the conference welcomed the Industry Experts and Renowned Personalities to present their viewpoints on this crucial issue.

Dr.BhimarayaMetri, Director, IIM Nagpur, mentioned the idea behind this one-day conference, in which around 100 participants joined. He mentioned how cybersecurity is the need of the hour, and there is an ardent requirement to take firm and timely strategies to overcome cyber threats.

He also briefed about the various steps IIM Nagpur has taken while the Institute completes its first decade since established. He said that as India is a fast-growing nation with a substantial number of youths, it will undoubtedly leave a global impact with its learned human resources and a large chunk of professionals prepared. Still, the nation should equally remain prepared to face cyber threats and similar challenges.

Mr. Kothandaraman Sridharan, CEO of CleverInsight, spoke on the ‘Importance of Cybersecurity Resilience and CDS program of IIM Nagpur.’ He elaborated on the uniqueness of the cybersecurity and data science one-year certificate course, the first in Pan-India that distinguishes IIM Nagpur.

The Chief Guest of the Conference, Ms. Geetha Nandikotkur, talked about the ‘Various Effective Approaches Needed to be Taken While Addressing the Cybersecurity Issues.’

In his keynote address, Lt. Gen (Retd.) Dr. Rajesh Pant, Former National Cybersecurity Coordinator, PMO, Govt. of India, discussed the notable theme ‘Towards a Cyber SurakshitVikshit Bharat 2047’ and described how several innovative and effective strategies are to be taken to fulfill such needs.

Air Vice Marshall (Retd.) Dr. Devesh Vatsa (Advisory DSCI-NASSCOM) mentioned the digital transformations for a vibrant digital economy contributing extensively to the country’s growth. Notable dignitaries Ms. Sailaja Vadlamudi (SAP LaBS India); Mr. Bastin Robins (CleverInsight); Prof. Sujeet K. Sharma (IIM Nagpur); Prof. Magesh Nagarajan (IIM Nagpur); Ms. Shobha Jagathpal (Morgan Stanley); Cdr. Sanjeev Singh (Birlasoft); Ms. Minatee Mishra (Philips); Mr. Arvind Sivaramakrishnan (Karkinos Healthcare); Mr. Parag Deodhar (Accenture); Mr. Sridhar Padalugu (Cloud & Beyond) and Ms.SatyavathiDivadri(Deputy CISO, Freshworks) were prominent names participating in various panels in the conference.

The Cybersecurity Resilience Conference at IIM Nagpur concluded with project presentations and a talk between Dr.Metri and Mr. Sridharan on Vision 2025: Technologies and Strategies that Shape Enterprise Security.’ The closing and valedictory marked the successful conclusion of the conference.
