InFED at IIM Nagpur to Host Faculty Development Program on Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Nagpur, 8th of March, 2025 : The IIMN Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (InFED) at the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur is set to host a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Innovation & Entrepreneurship from March 17 to 21, 2025. The five-day program will equip Educators, Enablers, and Incubation Managers with essential skills to mentor and support student-led innovation and entrepreneurial ventures. The attending participants won’t be charged any fee.

Dr. BhimarayaMetri, Director, IIM Nagpur and Chairman of InFED, reaffirms InFED’s commitment to fostering innovation. He said ‘InFED,empowers educators with the knowledge and tools to mentor the next generation of entrepreneurs. The FDP is a step towards building a stronger innovation ecosystem in the academic institutions across India.’

Mr. Praveen Roy, Head and Overall In-Charge of the TTI Division, DST,will be the Chief Guest of theInaugural Session. The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MoE’s Innovation Cell) and AICTE will sponsor the FDP to reinforce its significance in fostering entrepreneurship in the higher education institutions.

While the FDP will equip the participants with essential knowledge and tools to mentor student and faculty-led innovations, it will undoubtedly be a platform for the educators to drive innovation. Through interactive workshops, expert-led discussions, and networking opportunities, the participants will gain hands-on experience in guiding entrepreneurial ventures.

The comprehensive curriculum of the FDP will cover various aspects of entrepreneurship, such as Evangelizing Entrepreneurship, thus encouraging faculty to instill an entrepreneurial mindset among students;Customer Discovery & Value Proposition to understand the market needs and refine business ideas;Business Model Development & Financial Planning to explore revenue models, investment strategies, and startup funding; Intellectual Property (IP) for Startups to educate faculty on IP protection and technology transfer and Incubation &Startup Ecosystem to engage with startups at InFED and industry experts to foster real-world learning, amongst others.

This program will cover the key aspects of entrepreneurship, including customer discovery, business model development, financial planning, startup incubation, and intellectual property rights. The participants will benefit from expert sessions, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities with successful entrepreneurs and investors.

As a leading business incubator, InFEDat IIM Nagpur has been playing a crucial role in supporting startups through initiatives like Startup India Seed Fund Scheme, NIDHI Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and Maharashtra Agribusiness Network Project (MAGNET).

The upcoming FDP aligns with the InFED mission to strengthen the innovation ecosystem by empowering the faculty to act as effective mentors for emerging entrepreneurs.
