Today, at the foundation and Kumbhabhishekam ceremony of Maa Saundarya Chinmoyee Temple in Mohanpur, the Chief Minister said this in the presence of the Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Shri Mohan Bhagwat.

The Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu, and the Governor of Maharashtra, Jishnu Debbarma, along with Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath, were present at the ceremony.

While speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Saha said that a lot can be learned by being in the company of great peole. These are part of our philosophy of life.

“Today, on behalf of Chinmaya Mission Tripura, I express my sincere gratitude for inviting me to this event. This auspicious day marks the birth anniversary of our Adi Shankaracharya. This great initiative of establishing the temple and the Kumbhabhishekam is of special significance not only for Tripura, but also for the entire country and the Northeast. People from all over will now come to see this place, where spirituality is deeply involved. It will be a bright center of education and human service, i.e., a Center of Excellence,” he said.

He further said, “I was also present when the foundation stone of this temple was laid on June 27, 2025. This temple was completed in less than a year. If everyone works together, tasks can be completed even before the expected time. At the center of this temple is a huge statue made from a single piece of stone, about 15 feet high, which will attract devotees and evoke a deep sense of devotion and respect. In an open and pleasant environment, this idol is surrounded by 27 pillars containing verses and valuable words from the immortal work composed by Shri Adi Shankaracharya, which will help us develop good thoughts and understand cosmic connections. This holy place will be considered one of the centers of spiritual, intellectual, devotional, and cultural inspiration in the coming days, along with education. There is no end to knowledge. The more knowledge increases, the more people will be enriched. I will also come here in the future, and you will also come over time.”

The Chief Minister also said in his speech that this temple, established in the holy land of Tripura, will become a beacon of spiritual light.

“I wish that this temple also be established in the same way among other spiritual centers that have been established in Tripura and across the country. Like Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Kasba Kalibari, Chaturdash Devta Temple, Chandi Bari, and Shanti Kalibari in Amarpur, this new temple is emerging as a symbol of spiritual worship. The government is doing a lot for religious tourism in our state. This will also be a new feather in the cap in the form of religious tourism. Our India is a pilgrimage site for spiritual consciousness and development. Great people have developed knowledge and consciousness in our country over the ages,” he said.
