Dharmanagar, Tripura, 26th of January, 2026 : A three-day Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Fair and Cultural Programme–2026, organised by the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Social Organization, commenced at the Tilthai Mahaprabhu Ashram premises under the Yubarajnagar constituency. The colourful event was formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, Sudhangshu Das.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, that the ideals of Netaji continue to inspire the nation even today. His patriotism, sacrifice and courage, he noted, would always motivate the younger generation. He further emphasized that such fairs play a significant role in strengthening society through social and cultural engagement. The programme was attended by several distinguished personalities, including Aparna Nath, Sabhadhipati of the North District Zilla Parishad; former Yubarajnagar MLA Molina Nath; Chairperson of Yubarajnagar Block Aparna Sinha; noted social worker Kajal Das; Vice -Sabhadhipati of the North District Zilla Parishad Bhabatosh Das; and Prashanta Debnath, President of the Fair Committee, along with many other public representatives and eminent persons.

On the first day, cultural performances by local artists captivated the audience. The organizers informed that various cultural programmes, discussion sessions and social activities will be held over the next three days. The inauguration ceremony concluded successfully in a festive atmosphere amid a large public gathering.
