Independence Day Celebrations Held With Fervour At PIB & CBC Guwahati Under Har Ghar Tiranga And ‘Naya Bharat’ Theme.

Guwahati, Assam, 15th of August 2025 : The Press Information Bureau (PIB) and Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office Guwahati, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervour at the DDK Complex under the overarching themes of Har Ghar Tiranga and Naya Bharat as part of the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The celebrations began with the ceremonial flag hoisted by Shri Kripa Shankar Yadav, Additional Director General (ADG), followed by a spirited Tiranga Rally within the DDK Complex in which more than 85 officers, staff, and their family members participated. The rally reflected the collective commitment to the ideals of unity and nation-building.

As part of the occasion, a series of awareness activities and cultural performances were organised to highlight India’s heritage, values, and progress. These included the recreation of the historic Dandi March and discussions on Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy, a presentation on the significance of the three colours and the Ashok Chakra in the National Flag, and skits addressing social issues such as the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of social inclusion and welfare schemes for Divyangjans. In addition, interactive activities and games were held to ignite patriotic pride and foster team spirit among participants.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from all staff members, with every team contributing creatively towards making the day memorable. The office premises were adorned in the colours of the National Flag, reflecting the unity, energy, and resolve towards building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
