Indian Army’s Awareness Campaign in Agartala: Our Land Our Future.

Agartala, 5th June, 2024 : Spear Corps of Indian Army launched a campaign encompassing series of events focusing on Land Restoration and Drought Resilience under the slogan, “Our Land, Our Future. We are generation Restoration”.

The events were conducted at Agartala from 28 May 24 to 01 Jun 24.  On 28 May, children painting competition was organised with a theme “Painting a Green Future” in which total of 33 children unleashed their creativity to showcase their messages of “Saving Mother Earth”. Special cleanliness event was also conducted in and around the cantonment including ‘Amrit Sarovar’ lake which drew a huge participation. Indian Army has been actively involved in conducting cleanliness drives as part of their community outreach and social responsibility efforts.  In continuation of the campaign, awareness drive was also organised including screening a movie ” Learn To Care” on 30 May 24 for military personnel and their dependents. Lecture and demonstration on Segregation of waste, Recycling & Reuse of materials were also conducted on 31 May and 01 Jun 24. Highlighting the importance of environmental sustainability, more than 250 saplings were planted by soldiers, ladies and children on occassion of Environment Day.

Spear Corps warriors will continue to conduct such campaign to increase awareness and contribute to the society and the nation.
