Ampi, 19th of November 2023 : Under the agro-forestry scheme forest department of Ampi range is providing areca nut project amenities to the poor tribal villagers in different ADC VCs under Ampi block. Aiming to strengthen the family financial status of the poor indigenous hilly people various garden projects have been implemented by Ampi forest range in different ADC villagers. Under MGNREGA in the financial year 2023-24 total 28 indigenous families of South Songang VC under Ampi nagar RD block areca nut project has been implemented in agro-forestry scheme. Under the beat officer Md. Abdul Basit 9.85 hectares areca nut with agar and pine apple as a additional crops have been planted.
As per the local report, per beneficiary was provided 260 areca nut, 200 agar and 1000 pine apple saplings for miscellaneous garden plantation. Miscellaneous garden plantations have been done in Durpahari Para and Bongsi Para in South Songang VC under Ampi nagar RD block in Gomati Tripura. After availing garden plantation amenity the poor indigenous families were found happy. It is expected that if the Beneficiaries take proper care of their gardens then they will have good financial income source from these projects which will be a good support for their family management ahead.
