Indigenous Traditional Attire & Food Fest 2026 Initiated.

Ampi,  Tripura, 11th of January 2026 :  The 6th Indigenous Traditional Attire & Food Festival 2026 has been initiated here in Tuidu village under Ampi Nagar block in Gomati Tripura. The Sporting Club of Tuidu has organized this mega fest with miscellaneous traditional indigenous cultural showcase.  In presence many distinguished dignitaries EM Kamal Kalai (TTAADC) has inaugurated this Motivational event.

On this 3 day long (10th to 12th January 2026) auspicious occasion a large number of indigenous people from different parts of the state have assembled here in the programme venue to take part in the fest with great enthusiasm & zeal. The indigenous foods, house hold articles and costumes exhibition in stalls and shops was noticeable in the festival. The concerned Sporting Club authority has constituted the celebration with various traditional indigenous cultural exhibition which was most fascinating for all indigenous and non indigenous people. The gorgeous display of indigenous  traditional bamboo made Tong ghar row was another attraction of the festival. Large number of people have purchased indigenous foods and traditional costumes in the festival and enjoyed different kinds of indigenous traditional cultural presentations performed by indigenous artists.

Addressing the gathering EM Kamal Kalai has said, “Our indigenous foods and costumes have great unique featured and reputation across the subcontinent; it is our fundamental responsibility to preserve and promote our traditional heritage properties for our next generation. Our traditional culture, foods and costumes are our valuable asset which is our unique identity all over the world.” He more added that indigenous foods are cent percent organic and very beneficial to maintain better health.

Sporting Club authority has distributed different kinds of prestigious prizes amongst event competitors and warm blankets to needy families as well as study materials amidst school students. Among the other participants there were Sanjay Jamatia, social activist, Darjeeling Kalai, Kamchikao, Norbahadur Reang, Ampi SDPO and many others remained present in the event.
