Aiming to create family economic stability in rural indigenous families the Ampi forest range office is implementing different kinds of livelihood progressive project implementation here in different ADC areas under Ampi Nagar R.D block in Gomati Tripura. Targeting to generate development in financially amidst the indigenous communities in rural areas the forest department is providing various development schemes to the poor indigenous villagers to make them selfhelp for the upliftment of their families.
As per the report, in the financial year 2022-23 a large check dam(M-ll) has been made for a SHG of Bongshi Para JFMC. Under the supervision of forester Abdul Basit of Chechua beat this fishery project has been provided to the JFMC SHG named ‘SATOKORA’ to cultivate abundant fish for the financial growth of the group. In the other hand another check dam (M-ll) has been made for the JFMC SHG Kamlai named ‘YAPRIKWRAL’.
According to the forest departmental officials both the check dams have been accomplished and handed over to the concerned SHG for the initiation of fingerlings cultivation. Under the Chechua beat JFMC SHG beneficiaries Abdul Basit has provided them all essential tips how to cultivate & promote fishery project to gain better profit yearly. It is expected that onwards now the SHGs members are going to dispose fingerlings for their check dams and after one year they will have good financial benefit from this project which will make stability in these indigenous families economic status. The JFMC SHG beneficiaries were found happy as they have got a new income source which will assist them economically in the coming days.
