The Ampi forest range office is implementing different kinds of livelihood progressive project implementation here in different ADC areas under Ampi Nagar R.D block in Gomati Tripura. Targeting to generate development in socially and financially amidst the deprived indigenous communities in rural areas the forest department is providing various development schemes to the poor indigenous villagers to make them self help for the upligftment of their families. As per the report, in the financial year 2022-23 a large check dam(M-2) has been made for a SHG of indigenous woman named ‘Khumbar Mahila Dall’ in Serthum Molsom village in North Songang VC under Ampi block. In the other hand another check dam (M-2) has been made in Tentui Bari village for the SHG of Jamatia woman named ‘Yaphang Bwrwi Bodal’.
According to the forest departmental officials both the check dams were handed over to the concerned SHGs today and provided them all essential tips how to cultivate & promote fishery project to gain better profit. It is expected that onwards now the SHGs women are going to dispose fingerlings for their check dams and after one year they will have good financial assistance from this project which will create stability in family economic management. The forester of Ampi range office Anil Das advised the both SHGs women to take proper care of their fishery project to obtain good benefit in future.
