Journos From Chhattisgarh Meet Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu As Part Of Press Tour To Tripura.

Agartala, Tripura, 24th of October, 2024 : A 14-member Media team from Chhattisgarh is currently on tour to Tripura to explore the state’s cultural heritage, lifestyle and developmental dynamics. During the last three days of the Press Tour, organised under the aegis of the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Chhattisgarh the visiting journos, associated with different newspapers, electronic channels and online news portals of the state, have visited various development projects and heritage sites across the state.

The visiting journos met with Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu at Raj Bhavan at Agartala on Thursday. During the interaction, the Governor warmly welcomed the journalists and commended the initiative of the press tour in promoting understanding and integrity of trans-regional and geographical cultural ethos and development.

He said the media can highlight the rich diversity, unique traditions, and development progress of various parts of our country,” he said. The journalists also shared their fine experiences gathered during their visit to places and interaction with local people in the last three days in Tripura.

On the occasion, Governor Shri Reddy Nallu highlighted that the people of Tripura are very peaceful. He said the state is on the march to rapid progress. The state, next to Assam, is regarded as an educational hub and healthcare hub. He observed that the state has huge potential of becoming a tourism hub in the coming days. He asserted the potential of the Gomati River for tourism activities. Talking about cardinal aspects of Tripura’s economy he said the plantation of natural rubber, huge species of bamboo, and agarwood plantation have carved a niche to give a fillip to surge in state’s economic strength in future.

Governor Shri Reddy mentioned about rich traditions and culture and good socio-economic developmental position of the tribal communities of the state. The Governor mentioned unique traditional agricultural practices of the hill people of the state who grow crops in the hills and highlands.

During the interaction with the Governor, the media team was led by Shri Ramesh Jaybhai, Deputy Director of PIB Raipur in presence of Sh. Shubhasis Chanda, Deputy Director of PIB Agartala, and Sh. Kunal V. Shinde, News Editor of All India Radio and Doordarshan News in Agartala. 

The media delegation today visited the Bamboo and Cane Development Institute (BCDI), where they took a first hand knowledge of some innovative activities continued under the National Bamboo Mission. They also visited the industries at Rubber Park and Bamboo Park in the Industrial estate at Bodhjungnagar facilitated by the Tripura Industrial Development Corporation and found promotional activities with the help of the North East Industrial Promotion Scheme.
