“Kabi-Pranam” Organized By Little Magazines In Dharmanagar.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 1st of June, 2026 : A literary and cultural program titled “Kabi-Pranam” was organized on Sunday at the Bar Association Auditorium in Dharmanagar, North Tripura, under the initiative of various little magazines.

The event was dedicated to paying tribute to the two legendary Bengali poets, Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam.The program witnessed the participation of literature enthusiasts, poets, writers, editors of little magazines, and cultural personalities from Dharmanagar, Kanchanpur, and Unakoti district. Through poetry recitations, songs, elocution performances, literary discussions, and cultural presentations, the participants highlighted the literary contributions, humanistic ideals, and enduring relevance of the works of Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam. The role of little magazines in enriching Bengali literature was also discussed in detail.

The guests paid floral tributes to the portraits of Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam as a mark of deep respect. The event commenced with an inaugural song.Among those present were noted poet and literary figure Bidyut Chakraborty, Nibaran Nath, editor of Nilkantha, and distinguished writer Hrishikesh Nath, editor of Shabdanil, along with several other prominent personalities from the literary and cultural sphere.The primary objective of the event was to bring together poets, writers, and cultural enthusiasts and to introduce the rich heritage of Bengali literature and culture to the younger generation, while also creating a conducive environment for literary activities.On the occasion, three publications—Dupana, Kiratbhumi Theke, and Nilkantha—were officially unveiled.

According to the organizers, such programs play an important role in fostering interest in literature and culture among young people. With enthusiastic participation from literature lovers, the “Kabi-Pranam” event turned into a vibrant celebration and is being regarded by literary circles as a significant addition to Dharmanagar’s cultural landscape.
