Khowai, 21st of April, 2024 : Chandni Chandran, IAS, Khowai District Magistrate & Collector, has taken various efforts to make the upcoming eighteenth Lok Sabha elections as a model election. The meeting was held under the leadership of Chandni Chandran, IAS, Khowai District Magistrate & Collector at Khowai New Town Hall on Sunday (21st April, 2024).
District Magistrate, Khowai District Superintendent of Police Dr. Ramesh Kumar Yadav, Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Teliamura and Khowai sub-divisions, OCs of various police stations, officials of various departments of election related and security forces personnel were present in the meeting.
Aiming to upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the meeting is being organized with the aim to confidence among the common people and to assure the common people of administrative security ahead of the polls. Especially the official of election in polling work have to perform important duties. Security personnel should also be active at all times. District Superintendent of Police Dr. Ramesh Kumar Yadav participated in the discussion and said that police and security forces should always be diligent. He added especially on vehicle search. He said the more emphasis is placed on vehicle searches. Besides, he advised the police to be more active on the polling day. Emphasis is placed on patrolling roads, strengthening security at sensitive polling stations.
