Khowai, Tripura, 8th of August, 2026 : Ahead of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, Khowai Police conducted a security operation under the leadership of Khowai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Prajit Malakar on Friday (7th August, 2026).
The operation was carried out with the participation of Subhash Park Police Outpost OC Ranjit Sarkar, other police officials from Khowai Police Station, Border Security Force personnel, the dog squad, and a large contingent of police personnel.
The security operation was carried out in the border areas surrounding Khowai town as well as in the Subhash Park area. As part of the operation, the dog squad conducted thorough searches of various vehicles and different locations to strengthen security measures and prevent any untoward incidents.
Khowai Police Station OC Prajit Malakar stated that the operation was conducted to ensure a peaceful and smooth celebration of the upcoming Independence Day, prevent any untoward incidents, and strengthen security measures. He also informed that similar security operations will continue in the coming days as part of the ongoing security measures.
