Khowai, 15th of March 2024 : Police is fully committed to eradicating the menace of drugs from Tripura making “Tripura – A Drug-Free State”. The police of Khowai police station was able to recover the illegal Cannabis. As per the report, During checking at the Naka point of Belfang area under Khowai PS of Khowai district police personnel force recovered 153 KG from truck bearing number-JK02AR3O44. 193 packets of Cannabis (Ganja) was found after searching the vehicle.
The drug dealers have continued to relocated in different new methods of smuggling different styles of operation. Ganja was being taken very carefully inside the tire of the car for the purpose of smuggling. Police seized 153 kg of Cannabis in 193 packets after conducting a search at truck in Belfang area of Khowai-Agartala National Highway under Baijalbari outpost on Friday. Along with that, the police arrested the driver and conductor of the truck. Their names are Rabi Kar and Chandan Paswan. One of the residents of Himachal Pradesh and the other residents Bihar. Additional SP, Subir Malakar, OC of Khowai police station and other police personnel including OC of Baijalbari outpost were present during the operation.
