Khowai Sub-Divisional Commemoration Of 150 Years Of The National Song “Vande Mataram”.

Khowai, Tripura, 7th of November, 2025 : With the initiative of Khowai Sub-Divisional Administration, a commemorative program celebrating the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram” was held at the BRC Hall, Khowai Block under Khowai Subdivision on Friday (7th November, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury inaugurated the event.

The program began with a rendition of Vande Mataram by the students of Khowai Government Higher Secondary School. Following that, the dignitaries inaugurated the event by watering a tree sapling and offering floral tributes to the portrait of Bharat Mata. The Acting Sub-Divisional Officer of Khowai Dipankar Sarkar delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of the event. In his speech, chief guest Pinaki Das Chowdhury said, “India is our motherland. For the freedom fighters, ‘Vande Mataram’ was an indomitable source of inspiration — a sacred chant that ignited their patriotism.”

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Khowai Zilla Saha-Sabhadipati Aparna Singh Roy (Datta), of Khowai Government Higher Secondary School Manoj Debbarma, and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
