Khowai, Tripura, 20th of September 2025 : The Khowai Women’s Police arrested an E-rickshaw (tom-tom) driver allegedly sexually assaulted a minor girl inside a E-rickshaw on Friday (19th September, 2025). According to source a E-rickshaw driver Gautam Nath Sharma, a resident of Singicherra area of Khowai, tried to sexually assaulted a minor girl by tricking her into taking her to a secluded place adjacent to the highway in Khowai. The family of the minor girl filed a case of sexual harassment at the Khowai Women’s Police Station. Interacted with the media OC of the Khowai Women’s Police Station, Mina Debbarma, said that after receiving the complaint letter, the accused E-rickshaw driver Gautam Nath Sharma was arrested in this case.
